Colours Poem by Gopal B Dash

Colours

Red in the sky tells
The arrival of a new morn,
Red again in the sky warns,
The day is gone.

Red the sun marks
Beginning of a new day.
Golden as it becomes,
Shows the day's way.

Blue till the sky looks
Keep open your notes and books.
Mingle your hands, legs and brain,
Before it turns red again.

Dark is the sky now
Andquiet is the sound.
Put back the pencil and pen,
And Leave back all your strain.

When the brown smears
The sky across,
The storm comes and
The devils cross.

Arrives the jovial monsoon,
Envelopes the lands green.
Then comes the winter season,
And all the happy sheen,

In life there are colours, and
In colours there is the life!
Why have so much mourns
And why keep any strife!
