Colours Poem by David Olughu

Colours

Red;
Love, danger;
Blood and rose;
Beautiful, bold and elegant.

Blue;
Sky, sea;
Two worlds apart;
One gas, one liquid.

Green;
Grass, snake;
Fertility the former;
Deceit follows the latter.

Brown;
Dead leaves;
Life for Earth;
Temporary death for tree.

Yellow;
Sun, lemonade;
A complete noon;
To chill the heat.

Black;
Africa, melanin;
Our true identity;
Initiated to the tribe.

White;
Christ, peace;
The Father's nature;
His image, His son.
