Stupid Cupid Poem by David Olughu

Stupid Cupid

She never called
She never texted
She chose to leave when our love just got invested
Now I feel life-less because she's no longer interested
Why, Cupid why?

Just when we began to understand each other
And our friendship began to cross the border
She chose not to go further
Why, Cupid why?

She said it was distance
She said she didn't want to take the chance
I thought she enjoyed the way we used to dance
I thought me, myself and I were her only fans
I never knew she already took her stance
Why, Cupid why?

Just as I suspected there was a new him
With his perfect voice, he sings the hymn
His heart beats in apt rhythm
She got blown away and left my heart utterly dim
Why, Cupid why?

Love just kicked the bucket
Emotions have been shot into space in a rocket
All thanks to one stupid Cupid.
