Come Back Poem by Valerie Varkevisser

Come Back

Rating: 4.5

Another day dawns
But no difference do i see
In the day before
Birds are chirping eagerly
Seeking for their mates
Oh! What sweet songs fill my ears
Soothing melodies that calm the soul
I see the ever-colourful butterflies together
In pairs, a heartbreaking sight it is to me
Everywhere i go
It seems i'm the only one alone
Where are you, my love?
Why is it you had to go?
for such loneliness to grip my heart?
I yearn for you and your company daily
Can you not hear my feeble cries?
Nor see my attempts to be by yourside?
I love you
Is it not plain to see?
Come back to me
And lets explore our love once more
