Come Into My Arms Poem by Kevin Kiely

Come Into My Arms

come into my arms on a high-tide of tears
birds are dripping in ink not rain
I keep faith to plant the vineyard
where you are every vine

flowering of the feminine, flowing with wine
and inside your head is the nightsky of stars
of course the lover imagines the lover
walking in colours of swirling leaves

roseate at dusk amidst naked trees
framing the river in a mirror of glass
reflecting the city symmetrical
more, I see your name written on the ice

your eyes blue pearls―while the sun
brings beauty, life and death
water ripples to ribbed marble
O let the leaves float on the marble river

you are delicate as the floating leaves
and the cat wears a fur coat
sleeping at your window
pass the test for joy, pass the test for peace

It is because of the delicacy

I look for you today, tomorrow, yesterday
I find you everywhere and there is good
