Comet Poem by Clive Culverhouse

Comet

Rating: 5.0

how many times
have I ran this way
in this very instance
how many times
that way
the shadow expanding;
secret circles;
perhaps I'm waiting
for something inside
to feel what I did before
perhaps that's why
I keep dying -
lingering

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Comet poem by Clive Culverhouse. A poem about rebirth and living over and over, hoping for an inner voice or gut feeling for advice. The metaphor of a comet helps here because just as the proposal in the poem that we live a circling life repeating our path over eons of time, so does a comet.
