Complete Indifference
When in life a great opportunity soon
Pops up unexpectedly to boost my ego
It's time for me to acknowledge the boon
I can't easily brush aside or forgo
Whether I attain or don't attain my goal.
It's a matter of complete indifference
Whether detractors hold a press conference
To honour their hatred or deride my success
In the field of cognitive science
Where my efforts contribute to much human progress.
