Computer And Other Scams. Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Computer And Other Scams.

"This is computer services, within two days we will automatically deduct the sum of $499.00 from your bank account." This is the second time and day, the computer service scammer's have unsuccessfully contacted me on my cell phone. As I am typing this message, my cell phone rang again, but I did not answer it.

The first time they called, I said yes, but than hung up, It was yesterday.Today when the robot call came, I just hung up. Yesterday, I called up my Everett's Washington local credit union. And transferred money into my checking/debit account.

The customer service representative transferredthe funds. After talking to her, I transferred the funds back. Why? Because she reassured me there would be no over draft fee.

What are the scammers hunting for? My personal information and account number. My credit union told me they would fight it. And the funds wouldn't be deducted. "They are trying to work you over and scare you, by using the term "automatic."

Her mother received a call claiming to come from Norton about their
computer services, and her mother doesn't even have a computer.
"Roxanne, this is income tax season, and scammers are calling people up saying they owe the IRS money. And every year scared people give them their personal and banking information. So the scammers can withdraw their funds.

According to Everett Washington's Best Buy Geek computer squad, " Scammers have been contacting their customers and even people who are not their customers. "We don't call people on the phone and do things like that. The most our computer services are is $199.00, not $299.00.
Believe me if they mentioned that amount it definitely didn't come from us." I was so upset I told the Geek the wrong amount. It wasn't
$299.00 dollars. It was the exact same amount they mentioned yesterday, $499.00. They are trying to wear me down.

I even told two of my friends it wasn't a scam, but they kept on telling me.They were asking for too much money.I called her on the phone and told her she was right all along.

Love in Christ Jesus!
