CONCERNING HOUSES Poem by Peter van Lier

CONCERNING HOUSES

Rating: 2.5

Houses have windows (in frames) and
at least one door.

Houses are for living in (snugly if possible).

Sometimes a house is part of a flat (which people
find nice, constricting or boring,
for example).

Houses last a long time (remarkably long considering
all they have to put up with; inside people prefer
to live gladly).

Houses have roofs (on which birds land, exhausted
as they are from long flights).

Houses make people smile (seen it myself).
