From east and west we have come
With different tongues to our Babel
To raise a tower beyond the heavens
And eye to eye we see not one another
The foundation laid with envy and hatred
In rain and harmattan we toil in solitude
Singing an allegro note lacking harmony;
That a solitary tree can make a forest
Now and again the tower crumbles
And miserably again we rebuild.
Thenan eloquent bird came flying
Singing a harmonious dasegno symphony
Apoco apoco it sang the sweet tunes;
Even the sweet tunes of unity and love;
That a tree never make a forest.
The melody of the bird we adopt
And harmoniously, we sing the song
The song of love and harmony;
That love endures everything.
.
The tower too leaps for joy
And the foundation becomes unity.
And the tower crumbles not forever.
