Condolence Poem by Nana Hauwa Ibrahim

Condolence

I read it in between the lines
Those beautiful lines of yours

Where in I saw a bleeding heart
Carrying stories that hurt deeply

Pains that lingers on and on
O’ how I wish I was there

But destiny I couldn’t have changed
And now all that I have left to do

Though to you it might seem too late
Is tender my condolence to thee

Knowing it won’t soothe the pains
However I wish it could.
