Confession Poem by Khayelihle Bongiswa Gamedze

Confession

Dark tombs don't scare me now,
Dark nights are sweetest too...
Darling what worth is life
If I'm not loved by you?

If death is such a sleep
As verses use to say,
Tell death I want to play
My part of it today.

I tried to love again
But failed to walk the line;
I carved my darling's name
Into this heart of mine.

Sweet lovers come and go
That I never satisfy...
I always seek for love,
Yet love just pass me by.

The one I loved didn't stay,
It never felt too fair,
But yet I always run
From girls who truly care.

Whenever that I fall
And try to walk the line;
I feel this engraved love
Into this heart of mine!
