Confined Poem by Benjamin K Duncan

Confined

i woke up

a hand reached down
i reached back
the hand slipped away
i slipped back

i went back to black
i see nothing
water
bread
through a slot

the hand comes back briefly
it left behind some more water

i eagerly drink
i drank too quick
now i have no more water
i sleep
