Conflict Of Imagination Poem by Shirley Harrison

Conflict Of Imagination

A child so precious
wondering…
exactly how beautiful
is this world, in which he lives?

most fortunate to leap
into his very own imagination
simply to escape
the horrors surrounding him

where his mind is filled
with hope and colour

and the terrors of non-fiction
are nowhere to be seen or heard.
