Connections & Reflections Poem by Monty Blaylark

Connections & Reflections

Rating: 5.0

So do these days pass quicker as I sit still no voices, no choices, alone no one on the phone yet my heart is ringing for vibrations from connection.

Is there a button for loneliness, for comfort, for hugs & understanding?

I will only speak long enough to feel seen, not to create a scene.

Just when I speak say you understand, say your not alone, say I meditate about your peace, I pray for a better journey, I see you without words...

I'm lost in a world of superficial connections, mirrors in our face yet no one recognizes their own reflection.

Maybe when the phone dies, the tears have been cried & false realities are no longer denied & hands are grasped, words are spoken instead of texts, hugs instead of missed calls & shrugs, Personal calls instead of group texts & virtual hugs...

When you decide to disconnect remember I'm still here, connected to you...
