Consider The Lilies Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Consider The Lilies

The birds do not worry, they don't plant or sow,
Yet the Father provides everywhere that they go.
They sing in the branches, no barn for their grain,
Content in the sunshine and safe in the rain.

Consider the lilies, in white and in gold,
With beauty more royal than kings of old.
They don't have to labor, they don't have to spin,
Yet God pours His grace on the fields they are in.

If He cares for the grass that is here for a day,
Then surely He hears every word that you pray.
Your life is much greater, your soul is His prize,
You're precious and valued in your Father's eyes.

So let go of 'morrow, ' its shadows and fears,
For the One who made stars counts your every tear.
Just seek out His kingdom and rest in His light,
He's holding your hand through the day and the night.
