A ground that spreads between us
all the changing things
we watch together and remain together the same
close by what we love
or fear sometimes whirling up around
you, as much the subject here as I
Can you say it
or can I
as much a fiction as you and I
and all these things we think
and sometimes say
Can we just one time in our lives somehow
just speak the subject alone
instead of all about it?
