The fetters of failure eternally trussed
I promenade, the lachrymose pedantic mask
Of desolation, an escutcheon;
The crumbling sepulchres devoured
Mephistopheles and I amalgamated.
Oh lyrical zephyr, absolution!
A nebulous faith beseeches
The fetters of failure eternally trussed
I promenade.
The venom of embittered doldrums
Its occult arrogance proclaiming
Ignorance is bliss!
A prosaic idiolect, uncluttered
Perchance countryside accordions;
Alas! My cajoling paramour
An orgiastic melody, undulating
The treacherous mains of seduction,
I promenade.
The dilatory stagnating Tethys
Of hamstrings; an offertory of yearning
And reclusion; an offertory
Of mismatched soliloquies.
Fate, Wave thy wand!
The caterwaul for help; gory
Betrayal. Possessor of a precipitous
Mortal stigma; its savage thrust!
The miasma of agony, I wither.
Those odalisque patrons of cabbalism
Atoned and bereaved
The shadowed unearthly opus
Edged with dead roses and
Melted candles; the Devil’s hourglass
Inexorably darkly dearer to oblivion.
The fetters of failure Satan’s and my friends,
My diabolical salvation.
