Contemplation: The Love Of God Poem by Charlie Coelho

Contemplation: The Love Of God

In this moment, under blue skies,
When from cataracts, plummet icy waters,
And the golden sunlight scatters,
The chromatic harmony bound in white waters.

In this moment in the vast fields,
While some live by nature's yields,
Crawling insects garner harvests,
And, some store food in their nests.

In this moment when majestic peaks tower,
Garlanded by the tallest pines of power,
While, on lowly rocks by the sea,
Sunbathe flocks of birds by the hour.

In this moment, when all I see,
Above, below and all around me,
The majesty of your awesome beauty,
Love for you burns my heart within me.

But this beauty is not for me alone,
It is for all open for all eyes that see,
And your love is not mine alone,
It is for every soul that you created.

I contemplate your magnanimous love,
My mind and heart swell within me,
That you look beyond form and failings,
And I am content, that you love me for me.
