Conversation With Cancer Poem by Sarita Milliner

Conversation With Cancer

What are you cancer? Help me to understand please,
An invasion of your body, a complicated disease!

Where did you come from? I really must know,
Born of a malfunctioning cell with unexplained growth!

When did you get here? Just had my mammogram,
Laid dormant undetected; my size is a Nano gram!

How did this happen? I have not been sick,
Heredity, DNA, Life-style, can cause an untimely split!

Why Me, Why now? I’m not ready for this,
Fear not, have faith, because winners never quits! !
