Conversation With Death Poem by Vishnu Sampoorn

Conversation With Death

Death,
I've seen you many times;

Unexpectedly, you arrive
In front of my eyes, sometimes

I've seen you, in my house,
Walking around, on the green grass

Your bouncy gait, your shining dress,
Your veiled face, your darkening tress

I've seen it all, lying, in bed
Waiting for when I'll be dead
When my eagerness, to meet you, will douse
The excitement, frenzy, my feelings arouse

Death,
I'll meet you in a matter of few days
Akin to whatever you'll do

You attract me, by your funny ways
I look forward to meeting you
