Corexit Shrimip - Poem by Saiom Shriver
Sweet shrimp look up from pail
their black eyes on stalks.
They cannot talk.
They cannot walk.
But on ripe hearts for
mercy they knock.
Poet's Notes about The Poem
cause anaphylactic shock.
But since the BP spill
they are Corexit saturated shrimp
with every cell bathed in oil.
Corexit, a neurotoxin dumped by the zillions of gallons
into the Gulf.
