Corn husks, a leafy green mess,
A funny job, I must confess.
Pulling them back, silk threads fly,
A sticky dance beneath the sky.
Then comes the eating, oh what a glee,
Each yellow bite, a treat for me.
But teeth can chatter, a little scared,
Will my front teeth still be there?
A chip, a crack, a wobbly feel,
This corn on cob, a funny ordeal.
We laugh and chew, a happy sound,
Hoping our smile stays safe and sound.
