Cornet Espoire and Ferdinand Marl E. take a walk in the woods
After a mile or two
Then lay down a red and white checkered blanket
They sit down
They unpack their picnic basket
And enjoy their sandwiches and water

After they eat
They dispense with the trash
And pack the picnic blanket back into the picnic basket

Cornet and Ferdinand then take a walk through the fields
They find some place to be alone
They're ready to show to one another
Exactly how they both feel

They embrace
Ferdinand brushes a blonde strand of hair from Cornet's face
They don't need to speak to each other
They send messages from their eyes to one another
They gently kiss
They're true lovers
They need nothing else
