Correct Me Poem by Hebert Logerie

Correct Me

Correct me, if I made one mistake,
And help me, for God’s sake.
I am human, I am a man.
I am allowed to have one sin.
You are not a genius,
You are envious and too jealous.

I never claimed to be perfect.
You need to get off your high chair,
And remove it from my deck.
You ought to stop acting like a bear,
Like an untamed bully;
You are too silly to be funny.

Correct me, if I am wrong,
And help me carry the load.
I am tired of hearing your nasty song,
And stop acting like an abject toad.
I am human, I am a man.
I am allowed to carry one sin.

Nobody is perfect,
Nobody is divine.
You are not a well-aged wine.
You are a parsimonious wreck,
A dastardly backstabber,
A sick and despondent tiger.

Help me, for God’s sake,
If I made one error, one mistake.
