Corridors Of Time Poem by Gary Vanderbur

Corridors Of Time

Stop the clock!
I'd like to get in,
Into the corridors of time.

Dodging through the works, carefully I go.
Watching the gears go jerk; they really put on a show.

And they're dodging
and
watching
and
working
and
jerking
and
ticking
and
tocking
and
shocking
and
mocking
me as I go.

I'm wound up tighter than the mainspring I've come to find.
Turn my key one more notch and I'll really lose my mind.

But suddenly, I've broken free.
And here I am, at a major cam
In the machinery.

TICK! TOCK...!
TICK. TOCK…
Tick. Tock…
tick. tock…

Stop the clock!
I'd like to get out.
I'm trapped in the corridors of time.
