Couch Potatoe Blues Poem by Kaci Tami

Couch Potatoe Blues

I am a couch potato
But I would rather be known as
A supreme comfort seeker
Just like the Buddhist monks
In the mountains of Tibet
In front of My Plasma Television
I have found my own retreat
My own little niche, my heaven on Earth
Except it is focused on my super duper
Digital TV with surround sound
And my fast shooter remote
That allows me to change channels
Without getting out of my comfort zone
But my life nearly came to an explosive end
When I tripped on the edge of a frayed rug
And spilled my cold drink on my Giant screen
I heard a sizzle and my hair frizzled
And now my TV has gone to the great Station in the sky
I wish I could take it back again
But I sure do miss My TV
And now I am singing the Couch Potato Blues
Oh Boo, Hoo, Hoo!
