Could Have Had It All Poem by Ludolf Dauphin

Could Have Had It All

Don't blame me
If I don't remember
When the rain stopped
And the rainbow ceases to shine.
Since you left without a trace
Your smell begins to dissolve.
All the anguish I once felt
Evaporated with each step

You could have had the world.
When I give it all
Even with nothing to provide
You still walked away.
I gave. You take and run.
I did not expect that.
As I have expected more
Was I that undeserving?

If I do remember
Isn't love a two-way street;
instead of this one way
That slowly became a dead end.
Did I let the question hangs in the air too long?
Waiting for a dream that was never there
If only you had an answer to give
We could have had it all.
