Countless Gold Suns Poem by Elia Michael

Countless Gold Suns

Rating: 4.3

Countless gold suns silver moons and skies bright-starred
Have seemingly revolved around earth's blue form
Since that evil day when all of joy was marred
And my heart torn and tossed in violent storm

Unimaginable pain and deep anguish
Beyond my understanding for you to take
That illness-borne rash resolve to extinguish
Your life and cause my heart such deep pain and ache

Countless suns moons and stars have journeyed in space
Since that dreadful day was branded in my brain
Still red-glowing hot that ill-starred day and place
The sun shone brightly but I prayed for black rain
