Country Settings Poem by Marilyn Lott

Country Settings

Rating: 5.0

Don't you love a country setting?
Perhaps a dilapidated barn
If you're an artist, a poet or writer
You can create an appealing yarn

Or just inside your mind
As you see the delicious sights
Of a serene country setting
Enjoy a breathtaking delight

Windmills working hard
Sunsets at their best
Horses with their manes & tails
Flying with their playful zest

A rainy day is also beautiful
Puddles forming on the ground
Settling down the dustiness
With that plunking sort of sound

And the smell that fills the air
Is so clean and fresh and sweet
Yes, I love a rainy day
It's a cleansing sort of treat

No matter what the time of year
I always get tremendous pleasure
In country settings while I travel
Creating memories I'll always treasure!
