Courage Poem by Bryant Craig

Courage

Courage
I got you as a baby
You gave me a look that said save me
I named you this
With one little wish
That you'd try and behave
And not hesitate to save
But once you started to grow
I began to know
You weren't how I thought
But that doesn't matter a lot
You're nice and sweet
Good to everyone you meet
You're not what I asked for
Because how could I think of everything before
Before you grew
I didn't have a clue
But now that you're bigger
I've started to figure
You're just fine the way you are
Courage is the best dog by far
