Carpe Diem Poem: Courage to Begin
The door stands still, the hour is brief,
The hand that knocks is made of doubt;
Yet time will pass whether I move
Or let this moment wander out.
Beginnings shake the quiet heart,
They ask for faith before the proof;
But waiting builds a softer fear—
A life unlived, a silent roof.
So I step forward, unprepared,
With trembling hope and honest breath;
For starting now, though flawed and small,
Outruns the slow decay of death.
Seize this first step, uncertain, true—
The bravest act the day can claim;
For courage is not reaching ends,
But daring, now, to light the flame.
