Crab Poem by Morgan Michaels

Crab

Crab of destiny
which is our better duty
toward your bitter fruit?
To cower at your root?
and fade away?
or, snake-like, lovingly
drape ourselves about
the branch you represent
taste your bitter canapé
and doing so
remain unbent?
