you wake up one day
finding yourself in the same dark and damp room
same dusty curtains
smelling like dried fish

light coming from the window
greets you with

hello, welcome
you are nothing special
you are just like everybody else

for one thing
your heart does not remember
what was that despair all about

you wash your face
brush your teeth
change clothes
walk outside

the world is still the same
it does not bother about you or
anybody else

man, you create your own meaning
no one does it for you.
