Creation’s Still Groaning Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Creation’s Still Groaning

Mankind behaved like wayward fools
Who had it all and more
But failing to keep creation’s rules
God closed to man His door

Shut tight to all through Adam’s sin
Enforced, with flaming sword –Gen.3: 24
No flesh can ever come within
Without God’s Christ, as Lord

He’s Lord of life, of Heaven too
He rules both death and hell –Rev.1: 18
What place He’ll have for me and you
God’s time alone will tell

But through The Christ, we’ve now a choice
Through grace, He gives us free
Who hearken to Salvation’s voice
And humbly bend their knee

Yet still we often lose our way
Within God’s Light, we’re shy
We fear to think of judgement day
Afraid of when we die

Without God’s love, we cease to care
Without God’s arm, we fail
We’re on the road to nowhere
But endless pain in jail

We must take care the road we walk
Decisions now we make
Our train of thought, the way we talk
Could be our last mistake

Progression’s scarce, since Adam’s time
No change to Heaven’s gates
The world enjoys her life of crime
While still creation waits…Ro.8: 22+Jer.12: 4…
