Creatures Poem by Natasa Bajic

Creatures

I really think I'm not from here.
I'm passing by, watching, and find humans strange.
All somehow the same,
like explanations.
That doesn't bother me, maybe they find it easier
To live like that - as if they were silent,
As if they didn't exist.
But I'm of those
who pinch the stars to rest
To whom the sky is little
when they spread their wings
Of those who only
in eternity can nest.
For all that exists - is living in me
And when my soul desires to change
A bird or a gray cloud I'll surely be.
