Cries Of Fire! Poem by Farinola Augustine

Cries Of Fire!

A big bang bursting out trouble,
A ‘Boom’ sound provoking pity,
Making cries for help fill the air,
It has happened again, an unforeseen disaster.

Like hard-luck locking the door of joy,
Opening the door of sympathy,
Innate force making cripples to run,
A zooming effect on the inhabitants of cave.

A thrilling sight and an ugly experience,
Bitterness buttering badly baked bread,
Sorrow springing forth with force,
Filling to brim the tank of human anxiety.

Echoes of disaster giving melody to the hymn of terror,
Resounding like odd chord on the guitar,
Music for ghosts in a strange land,
An eraser strong enough to wipe loving memories.

Vapour of vanity boiling human veins,
Dry grasses beautifying graves of goodness,
Grey hair growing on an infant head,
Wrath covering ones head like a judge’s wig.

Silence sounding from the mouth of a talkative,
Rusted-roof covering a majestic mansion,
Missile of evil exploding the house of thought,
It has happened again, an unforeseen disaster.
