Crimson Lines Poem by Cherise Joubert

Crimson Lines

The blade with its coldness rests upon your skin, ,
letting it out from within.
The crimson lines is your way to let go,
lets you release what they can never know.
The pain is diffrent now its not only on the inside now, ,
trying to match the inside and outside somehow.
The scars run across your body, ,
a little part of your broken story.
The silence makes the pain come alive, ,
and thats when the blade helps you survive.
The numbness is one for some time, ,
and somehow it becomes better with every line.
