What seemed so great
in the moment
was
in the scheme of things
very small
Only death and its
incumbent couriers
merit the attention
of so strict a life's
expectancy
And then, and only then
in the calm eye of the storm
can one see
clearly
that which was forbidden
was only a temporary latch
on that pearly gate of
Knowing.
