Crooked Smile Poem by Alfred Ramos

Crooked Smile

It took a long while
To figure out your crooked smile

That twinkle in your eye
Had a taste of apple pie

You devoured me at first glance
I never had a fighting chance

You lured me into your lair
Purred sweet nothings-beware

Yeah the crooked smile
Never seems to go out of style

Your laugh swallowed me whole
No emotions left to control

I was putty in your hands
Into shapes no one understands

Isn’t it illegal deceiving bleeding hearts
Those already carrying fragile parts

That sexy curl of your upper lip
Made me turn loose of realities’ grip

Oh that crooked smile
Can hold casual lies hostile

No one knows you left the Garden of Eden
To continue sell was is forbidden

Mona Lisa’s got nothing on you
You are an epiphany through and through
