Crossing Not In Use Poem by Richard G Berg

Crossing Not In Use

Crossing Not in Use
Reading this at a junction
An old lady laughed
Crossed out her genuflecting
Used this moment not to doubt

Crossing Not in Use
Reading this sign
Young lovers
Unfolded crossed arms
Gave each word one kiss vowing
To feel cross when love's use stops

Crossing Not in Use
Lone philosopher read this
Admiring the chance
To pause for adjusting sign
Crossing Not in Use: Cross Thoughts
