Crossing The Finish Line Poem by Nick Cuezze

Crossing The Finish Line

Rating: 3.8

What have I done
I feel he had it coming
He could hear cold ice calling him kindly
When he finally finished turning
I could start the burning
What have I done
He pushed me too far
My heart ate it all
He dished all I could take
That was a big mistake
What have I done
He said my size was a burden
Now I bet he wished I never heard him
His last beat came and went like a fast food restaurant
He went deep entering sleep
What have I done
When the women wept wheezed and whirled, wondering why
I could only sigh
And to think for what I've done
The pain has only just begun
What have I done
As the time grew near
I lost all fear
No pain remained
as I loaded the life ending kabang.
What have I done
The grave was my final home
It was cozy enough to lay
and remember the day
my life turned to gray
What have I done
I pulled without sorrow
And didn't think about tomorrow
All the came to mind
was the finish line.
I know what I've done
