Crossroads Poem by John Obiayo

Crossroads

Rating: 5.0

Although it's easier, hope is one thing I won't lose.
Even if one second is all I got, your bomb to diffuse.
I was willing to do anything for this friendship to last.
Guess it's true the more air in a balloon the louder the burst.
Beautiful is the confinement of your solitary cage.
Living life like a blank novel page.
I'm still willing to write and fill it with joy.
Despite being sandbagged and played with like a toy.
Movies don't end like this! !
Strangers part, lives full of bliss.

At these crossroads we must part:
You be the mighty Engineer.
And I the simple Entrepreneur.
I've lived, loved, hated and waiting to die.
I couldn't leave without saying good and bye.
Till we meet in the bellies of mother Gao..
