The clock on the wall strikes 4: 09
You’re not here to be near this time
Each minute seems to carry on forever
Missing you drags on a long long time
It used to be you and me where we should be
But now here at home time drags on
Missing you has been more that I could believe
And nothing could have prepared me for the alone
I see the birds out my window and I realize
They sing their songs and live out their lives
But for me lonesome overwhelms me
And loneliness has been all there is in life
Missing you takes away all that is free
Each minute seems to drag on slowly by
Each moment seems to last on forever
Missing you drags on a long long time
Missing you is all I know to do
Cruel is the way time plays on the mind
Each minute seems to carry on forever
Missing you drags on a long long time.
