Cruel Reality Poem by Kyon Shade

Cruel Reality

Cruel images depicts reality.
Gut wrenched potholes.
The fragrance of stale animal urine permeates the air.
Inoculation against it all to survive.
A martyr of reality, Christendom, fleeting hope.

Suffocating, Crucified.
Slaughtered and denied.
Dreams wither and die.
Emotions absent as a diamond in a squalor,
Begging to reflect its beauty.
Barren and cold, decaying.

Reality bleeds through hoping eyes.
Rupturing the heart and murdering compassion.
Self inflicted wounds.
Humanities burden, a scorn of the gods.
Sentenced to an eternity of waiting,
To live, to die, to have.
A cycle etched into the brain painfully.
Scolded and carved.
It never stops
It never ends
You give up, or u eventually perish.
