Cruel Winter Poem by Ragy Sandid

Cruel Winter

Cruel winter
When will you be over?
Your end of days
Will help me reach summer

Cruel winter
I know you don't mean
To be cruel
It's just your nature
And no chameleon can change its color

Cruel winter
You hide people like gems
Sunlight come
And uncover them
The ones who know me
Really know me
And want me in a joined heaven

Cruel winter
I know you're a blessing in disguise
I know you're good
I know you're wise
But I'm tired of patience
I'm tired of staying down
Waiting to rise

Come and go
Let in a bright summer
Not too hot; not too long
Let bright things show
Let me hibernate
Grow with you sleepy
Come out strong
