My world is falling apart
With nobody here to stand by me,
My hopeless broken heart,
When will someone set me free?
I stand here all alone
Isolated and enclosed
To others I am a stone
Standing still and posed
Suffering so intensely
My heart aches for someone’s kindness
Would appreciate so immensely,
Can’t understand everyone’s blindness
I’m in a burning building ablaze
With no escape route in sight
I hope to catch someone’s gaze
As I stand paralyzed with freight.
