Crunch Time Poem by Heidi Glickert

Crunch Time

Rating: 4.5

Alright, Heidi, it’s crunch time.
Only a little bit longer to find yourself
But don’t pull a Heidi and quit
All I ask of you is to keep pursuing you
Wherever you go, I’ll go too.
The true you.
Don’t conform to what everyone else wants.
Be the girl from your youth.
You will find that you are the light
In your own darkness
Heidi, think of me when you think you have to be someone else
Even a turtle comes out of his shell every once in a while.
Come out of your shell, Heidi.
You can find happiness in a world of sad
Grasp your own hands and pull yourself into reality
Don’t be your own sickness
Be your cure-all
You will find Heidi along the way.
