Crush Poem by martha ikiring

Crush

Rating: 3.5

On a bench at a park
I once sat, lonely
Watching children play
Oblivious to the different figures that moved beck and forth

Until when my eyes fell on you
The wind blew your hair backward
And then you smiled
And I had felt time stand still

When your glance had flown to me
I saw your bright and blue eyes
Then you looked away again
And left me rooted to the spot

When you walked towards me and said hi
I thought I lost my voice somewhere in a fantasy
Because my thoughts were racing past my words
And right away I knew it was a crush

You are a flower in a thorny bush
Love me or not, its clear to me
That am bound to love you
Even when I know you belong to somebody

You are now the air I breathe
You still have the smile that keeps me wishing
And your eyes still hold the sparkle
Because I am still lost in the magic that is the
Fantasy of loving you
