Why do i have to cry?
After a happy cherished thought
in my mind has found a spot.
A new beginning presents itself aloud
only to, in oblivion and tears shroud

Why do i have to cry?
just when i say it's time to rest
unburden my shoulders of the work crest
With ideas to buy gifts galore
only to stall the thought and survival plan explore

Why do i have to cry?
When my progeny's future i see bright
and my soulmate promises a life of pride
Find myself back in the grind
shutting my eyes to colour... forever blind!

If tears, sobs and grief have to be my jewellery
so be it!

Give me the strength oh lord,
to cross this raging river, afar
the wisdom of the world i decry
Life sucks foul i cry
